ХVII INTERNATIONAL CHORAL FESTIVAL“MAESTRO MEDNIKAROV“

When:  1 - 7 July 2022

Location:Bulgaria, Albena Resort.

Organizers:International Festival Center "Friends of Bulgaria" (Bulgaria), International Festival Center "Success" Russia).

Partners: Union of Bulgarian Composers, Bulgarian Choir Union, Union of Bulgarian Music and Dance Figures.

Conditions for participation:

1. Non-professional academic and folk choirs of all types can take part in the festival, without age restrictions: children's, youth, homogeneous, mixed choirs.
2. Categories:

- choir (of 20 or more performers);

- chamber choir (from 13 to 19 performers)

- vocal ensemble (from 2 to 12 performers);

- solo artists.

1. Program duration and age groups

              - children's choirs - up to 15 years - up to 15 minutes;

              - youth - up to 20 years, homogeneous, mixed and chamber ensembles - up to 20 minutes;

              - solo performers - up to 2 performances.

1. Participants participate with a program of choice - pre-classical, classical, folklore, church, popular, contemporary and more. music. The general program of the festival is prepared in advance and provided to the conductor upon arrival at the Albena complex. Changes in the program during the festival are not allowed.

1. Necessary documents for participation / sent depending on the chosen payment term /:

- application for participation;

- brief information about the composition.

1. The festival has a competitive nature. Each conductor of the ensemble participates as a member of the jury of the festival and evaluates the performance of the other participants according to the following criteria: performing skills; artistic level of performance; repertoire selection; stage culture and artistry. The following are awarded: "Diploma", "Diploma of laureate I, II, III degree", "Grand prix".

Fee for participation in one nomination:

           - BGN 30 per participant from a group;

           - BGN 50 for individual performers

Payment is made by bank transfer until 31.05.2022 to the following account:

All participants in the festival, accommodated in a hotel in the resort. Albena, through MFC Friends of Bulgaria, does not pay a participation fee.

 Prices for accommodation for at least 5 nights in the specified hotel with a payment term until 31.01.2022, until 28.02.2022, until 31.03.2022 as well as regular prices with a payment term until 31.05.2022 are attached.
