VII  INTERNATIONAL  CHORAL  FESTIVAL  NAMED  AFTER  MAESTRO  MEDNIKAROV

Aim:
To show the degree of skill of choirs, to get acquainted with the traditions of Bulgarian choral school and works of Bulgarian composers.

Time:
28 June – 05 July 2010

Place:
Bulgaria, resort complex “Albena” (the “Atlantic” hall)

Nominations:
* Children choirs, choral ensembles (12 participants max.), solo performers.
* Student choirs, youth choirs and choral ensembles (12 participants max.), solo performers.

Festival programme:
* Work of Bulgarian author (according to the wish of the leader sheet music can be sent by e-mail);
* Freestyle programme /not more than 4 works/;
* Individual singers can participate only with freestyle programme /not more than 2 works/
* Repertoire of the united choir: P.Pipkov -  “Kiril and Methody’s hymn” , S.Prokofiev - “Mnogaja leta”, Beethoven - “Ode of joy”

Criteria which the discussion of groups’ participation is based on : technical - quality of sound, accuracy of sound intonation, accuracy of text pronunciation; artistic - phrasing, structure of musical form, parameters of musical interpretation and style preservation of the work which is performed, choice of music programme, stage culture

Necessary documents: (are allowed not later than on April, 30, 2009 by the organization):
* application for participation of the choir /individual singer/>>>;
* list of arriving people (first name, last name, date of birth, number of the passport issued specifically for travel abroad)

Staying price per one person under 12: 200 euro
Staying price per one person under 21: 240 euro
Staying price per one person above 21: 280 euro

The price includes: 7 nights stay at the hotel  in rooms with two and three beds with all conveniences, meals according to the system “All inclusive” ( breakfast, dinner, supper – Swedish table with drinks, during the day – tea, coffee, cool soft drinks, ice-cream, sweet pastry, barbecue, pizza, hamburgers and so on. at the hotel and swimming-pool bar; for children and accompanying men – free alcohol Bulgarian drinks till 11 p.m.), bus transportation in Republic of Bulgaria, festival events.
At 20 participants the 21st place is free.

Participation in the Festival for 14 nights is admitted.
